By booking tutoring sessions with The Write Approach, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to ensure clarity, fairness, and the smooth running of all tutoring services.

1. Booking & Lesson Availability

1.1 Securing Lesson Slots

Tutoring lesson slots are reserved specifically for each student once booked.

For example, if a student books a recurring session every Tuesday at 5:30pm, that time slot will remain reserved for them until the arrangement is cancelled. This allows students to maintain consistent weekly sessions and rebook ongoing packages with priority.

1.2 Session Packages

Where lesson packages are offered (such as a 10-session package), all sessions included within the package are subject to these terms and conditions.

2. Payments

2.1 Payment Methods

Payments must be made via:

  • Bank Transfer

  • PayPal

No other payment methods are currently accepted unless agreed in writing beforehand.

2.2 Payment Deadlines

All lesson payments must be received at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled lesson time.

This applies to:

  • Individual lessons

  • Recurring sessions

  • Lesson packages

2.3 Package Payments

Where a discounted package rate is offered (such as a 10-lesson package), the full package cost must be paid upfront in order for the discounted rate to apply.

Partial payments or instalments will not qualify for discounted pricing unless explicitly agreed otherwise.

2.4 Late or Missing Payments

If payment has not been received by the required deadline:

  1. Contact will be made to request payment.

  2. If payment is still not received within 24 hours of this contact, all upcoming sessions may be cancelled.

  3. Reserved lesson slots may then be released and made available to other clients.

The Write Approach reserves the right to refuse future bookings where repeated late payments occur.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

3.1 Rearranging Sessions

Sessions may be rearranged or adjusted up to 36 hours before the scheduled lesson time without penalty, subject to tutor availability.

3.2 Late Changes

Requests made within 36 hours of the lesson start time may incur an administration or cancellation fee.

This fee is typically between:

  • 25%–50% of the lesson cost

The exact fee charged will depend on the circumstances and the amount of notice given.

3.3 Late Cancellations

Cancelling a session with less than 36 hours notice will result in the full lesson fee being charged.

This policy exists because lesson slots are reserved exclusively for each student and late cancellations make it difficult to offer the slot to another client.

3.4 Tutor Cancellations

In the unlikely event that The Write Approach must cancel a session, the lesson will either:

  • Be rearranged at a mutually convenient time, or

  • Be fully refunded where applicable.

4. Attendance & Punctuality

Students are expected to attend lessons on time and prepared for the session.

If a student arrives late:

  • The session will still end at the scheduled time.

  • Missed time cannot usually be extended beyond the allocated slot.

If a student is more than 15 minutes late without communication, the session may be treated as a non-attendance and charged in full.

5. Online Lessons

All sessions are delivered online unless otherwise agreed.

Students are responsible for ensuring they have:

  • A stable internet connection

  • Access to the required platform/software

  • A suitable learning environment

The Write Approach cannot be held responsible for lesson disruption caused by technical issues on the student’s side.

6. Educational Support Disclaimer

The Write Approach aims to provide high-quality educational support and guidance. However:

  • Academic improvement cannot be guaranteed.

  • Results depend on student engagement, attendance, independent study, and effort.

Tutoring is intended to support learning and confidence-building rather than replace independent study or school teaching.

7. Changes to Terms & Conditions

The Write Approach reserves the right to update or amend these terms and conditions at any time. Updated terms will be published on the website and will apply to all future bookings.
